About Me

Marianne is a Filipino creative based in Canada, experienced in many different media with an eye for interesting design. She is well versed in project management as she has started and finished many projects in recent years for educational, personal, and work purposes. She works well among groups and has demonstrated leadership skills when directing projects. She is a determined problem solver that can think outside the box with creative solutions.Her curiosity in media technology knows no bounds. She likes to explore any new software she comes across that can assist her in media production.

Logo: BLINK

The process and final look of the "BLINK" logo. BLINK is a hypothetical start-up that aims to revolutionize transportation through teleportation technology. Instead of 1 hour commutes, you could just reach your destination in the blink of an eye. The logo is modeled after the Carbon atom with its two rings and 6 electrons as carbon is a very prominent element found in many lifeforms. The center of the logo is also meant to resemble pupil and iris of an eye, a nod to the name of the start-up. The logo keeps a lowkey, minimalist, futuristic vibe by having only 2 colours, subtle gradients, and a serif font.

Branding: StarLiT Crafts

A collection of StarLiT Craft's branding. StarLiT Crafts is a cozy arts and crafts small business focusing on art and crochet with a cutesy aesthetic. The handwritten logo and doodles on the business card is meant to evoke a feeling of familiarity and simplicity. Social media posts feature vibrant colours and bold rounded text.

Midnight and Cerise's character design sheets and process for the New Media Senior Project "Safe Travels". Safe Travels' setting takes place in a fictional tropical island. Midnight and Cerise's attire are loosely inspired by cultural Filipino motifs.

After passing through a small town and venturing into the forest outside, a young traveler suffers an injury and can journey no further. As they look up to the sky, the clouds part to reveal a full moon shining down upon the forest. Under the moonlight, the atmosphere seems to shift. Safe Travels is a fantastical 2D animated music video, featuring the music Departure by Sonder.
